Dr. Khan has provided skilled and reputable eyelid and facial plastic services in the Kansas City area for over 19 years. He is an experienced, sincere and trusted physician who enjoys helping patients reach the right decision for their individual circumstances.
Dr. Khan completed his fellowship training in Eyelid Plastic Surgery at Harvard University's Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in 1987. Dr. Khan received his M.D. degree from the University of Missouri, where he also completed his ophthalmology residency training. Dr. Khan, a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, has practiced in Kansas City since 1987. Dr. Khan has a strong professional background in laser eyelid surgery and cosmetic laser surgery: over 1500 facial laser procedures, including over 1100 laser eyelid surgeries.

Dr. Jason Sokol is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Kansas University Eye Center and specializes in Oculofacial Plastic and Orbital Surgery.
Dr. Sokol received a BA in history from Columbia University and a BA in Talmud from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America in New York City. After graduating from Mount Sinai School of Medicine with distinction in research, he completed his ophthalmology residencyat Albert Einstein College of Medicine and received an award for academic achievement, and completed a prestigious 2- year fellowship at the University of Louisville in Oculofacial Plastic and Orbital Surgery under the tutelage of Dr. William R. Nunery.
He has published numerous articles in peer-review journals and has presented at many national meetings. Outside of medicine, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife Eva Jenny, his daughters Ruby and Madeline, family and friends, traveling, playing and watching sports and watching movies.

Practice Emphasis: Care of problems related to the eyelids, tear ducts, orbits, and cosmetic surgery of the eyelids and face.
Dr. Khan is an active member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is a councilor to the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Khan has also served on the Board of Directors of the Kansas and Missouri State Ophthalmology Societies, serving as past president of the Kansas State Ophthalmology Society.
Dr. Khan has published in the New England Journal of Medicine, been interviewed on National Public Radio, appeared on CNN, and has been quoted in Newsweek magazine. He travels internationally to lecture on laser and aesthetic surgery, has written several medical textbook chapters, designed several laser eye lid surgery instruments, and has authored over fifty medical publications. He has also helped performed many FDA clinical studies of new treatments.

Most recently, Dr. Khan Co-authored Color Atlas Of Cosmetic Oculofacial Surgery , writing the chapters on blepharoplasty, Botox, and laser resurfacing. Color Atlas of Cosmetic Blepharoplasty was published by Elsevier Scientific Co. in 2004, and because of high sales went into a 2nd printing in 2005.
