Chalazion
A chalazion is a common swelling of the eyelid due to a blocked oil gland. The secretions back up in to the eyelid and cause inflammation. This can be treated with hot packs, massage, steroid injections, or by drainage. Drainage can often be performed on the undersurface of the eyelid and without any stitches or skin incision.
